Each year from October to December we trained people in 10 villages on water conservation, soil and waste management and tree planting. 750 farmers and women became active in protecting the environment.

During the Navratri and Kojagiri Pournima fairs at Tuljapur, we carried the environment message to thousands of devotees.

In Hangarga, Boragaon, Sindgaon and Salgara, farmer meetings, poster exhibitions, training and film screenings helped change mindsets. With AFARM Pune's support, raised beds were prepared for cotton and soil fertility improved.

Farmers in Yedola, Wagdari, Gujnoor and Shahapur, who had turned to dryland farming because of water scarcity, were trained in modern farming suited to local weather.

Run with AFARM, this campaign promotes nutrient-rich millets to strengthen farmers' livelihoods.
